The new school year is approaching and that means…studying (hopefully). In this post we’ll go over a few tips to make the perfect study spot so you can study well, get good grades, get a good job, find a spouse, have kids, and…well, this post can possibly help you find the keys to happiness.
The first thing you should decide is a spot in your home to study. Pick one spot and stick with it. After a while, your mind will start to get used to that spot and when you sit down to study your mind will already start preparing itself to study. You can obviously study in your living room, but you won’t have the convenience of already being in “study” mode (plus the TV doesn’t help either).
Try to make your study spot near natural light. Natural light provides a lot of warm, physically and mentally. If you can’t do that then there are plenty of lights available that can recreate natural light. Try to avoid fluorescent lights.
Get some plants. Plants make everyone feel better. They can improve the air quality, but they also make a space more pleasant to be in.
It’s impossible to recommend a desk or desk-type because everyone is different. Some people love a small and minimalist desk to help them think and have no distractions. Others love to sprawl out their papers and things, like they’re physically representing their ideas and thoughts. We personally love both small and big desks. Many go through seasons and you might, too.
The last thing we’re going to go over is the chair. You can research online for hours about what kind of chair to buy, but you’re only going to know for sure if you test it out in a store. If you don’t want to leave the house reading the reviews and seeing what others think can be a substitute for trying a chair out on your own.
